Servers not working

Hi, me and my friends have been trying to play together these days but we can't seem to be able to connect to each others worlds. We've already tried to uninstall and then install the game again to see if the issue gets fixed but nothing seems to work. I thought that the downtime period scheduled for yesterday August 9th was going to fix this issue but we tried again today and yesterday and still we can't join worlds. This started happening since the new update, whenever we put the join code and tried to join a message saying that the world is no longer available to join would pop up immediately. i'm really looking forward to this issue getting fixed since we really enjoyed playing our worlds.
