I have 4 digit join code but my friend from the same class has 5 digit

I have 4 digit join code, my friend has five digit. I used my account during my old school. I now use my new school account and it is not leting me join.

  Hey Ethan, 
  It sounds like you may be signing in with accounts that aren't in the same Microsoft 365 tenant. You'll want to double check your signing in with your account from the new school. Your IT Administrator may be able to help if your new school account isn't working.
