Dificult to open the minecraft

Hello, I have a Mac computer (Mac Os High Sierra Vers 10.13.6 ) and though I could download the file, it did not open properly, so, please If you can help us, our kid needs to enter once a week is learning to work with minecraft. Thank you!

  Are you trying to open the install file? Can you provide a screenshot of the error message? (Make sure to remove any sensitive information)
  
  Also, just as a heads up, we no longer support High Sierra. Our minimum supported version for MacOS is MacOS 11: Big Sur. System Requirements – Minecraft Education
