Can't sign in using school account

student came in tries to log in but it wouldn't sign him in even though he's trying to log on as school account

this is the error message he gets

"We were unable to sign you in. Please make sure you are signing in with your school or organizational account and try again"

tried reinstalling and didn't work

didn't work off hotspot either

when i got him to try logging in on my device it works

it seems like minecraft is recognizing his identity as a non school account - probably caching?

on ms word he was also signed in as his personal outlook account

i switched him over on ms word and tried again on minecraft but no dice

this happens on another student's device and the common denominator was that he came from another school so was logged in as another user previously
