iOS - Account Switch Detected
I am a technical analyst for a large school board, supporting a team of field techs who work in schools*. We've encountered several recent incidents in which students are unable to use Minecraft Education Edition on some of our iPads because a login error appears, reading "Account Switch Detected". When this occurs, we are unable to access the app's settings in order to sign out from existing accounts or to attempt a new login, and the app therefore becomes inaccessible. Tapping the "Cancel" button in the corner of the error window simply returns to the same screen again.
In our troubleshooting attempts we have been unable to remove the "stuck" account through any means obvious to us; even if we delete the app itself the cached login data seems to be persistent and upon reinstall, the error will still be present. So far, we've only been successful when erasing and reprovisioning the entire device, but this is not a tenable solution because it requires our field techs to visit the affected site each time, and also because it causes data loss in other apps on the device.
We manage the devices and the app installs using Microsoft Intune. Is there any kind of a configuration we can set up that would prevent accounts from being cached, to ensure each launch of the app is "fresh" and has no previous users? I observed that there is a "Remember Me" toggle switch in the account settings and wondered if forcing this to "Off" via a configuration profile may help prevent this issue from occurring, but I would need support in determining how to configure that for this app so it can be deployed to all of the devices.
A photo of the error from one of my techs is included. Thanks for any support that can be offered.
*Not stating that to request special treatment, but just to establish scale.

Hey David,
Sounds like a frustrating issue.
I am going to go ahead and move this into a ticket for you so we can work a little more in depth than we can here on the forum!
See you over there!1 -

Hey Tanvir!
Are you having the same issues as well?
Just had a few questions to help us support you further:
1.) What device make / model and OS version are you on when you got this error?
2.) Are you on the latest version of Minecraft Education?
3.) Is this a home network or school network?
4.) Is this a commercial account or school managed account?

Hey there,
We have had some success with these steps on Windows devices. It is worth a shot on your IOS device as well -
Steps to clear Minecraft's sign-in cache
- Open Minecraft Education, and close the sign-in window
- Select to go into demo mode
- From demo, click "unlock full game" to get a cleared sign-in window
- Now sign in with your new account'
Let us know if those steps help at all!
