Python editor slow on XPS 15 (Intel graphics)

I am running MC education on a new Dell XPS 13 (Win11, 16G ram, Intel i5 20th gen, integrated graphics) All seems well until I try to use the integrated Python editor. At this point the application slows to the point it is unusable. Is this a known issue? Also, are there any known workarounds ? Many thanks

  Hey Nicholas,

  Does this seem to happen in all worlds, or just a specific one?
  You can usually remedy this issue by simply reducing the video settings:

  • Turn off Fancy Leaves
  • Turn off Render Clouds
  • Turn off Beautiful Skies
  • Turn off Smooth Lighting
  • Turn off Fancy Graphics
  • Decrease the Render Distance to 6
