    Hey Adrienne,

What error message were the devices that couldn't log in receiving and what type of devices were they?

No error message. It just connection timed out. I think we may be just trying to put too many people in one world. We have 21 students. I am thinking we just need to have small groups join each their own world.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were having multi-player issues.
Yes, unfortunately Multi-player games require a lot of processing power from the hosting device and smaller groups are going to be your best option for the time being.

Try using /setmaxplayers 40. Otherwise, try small groups.

Ok. I tried small groups today with more success, groups of 4. I still had about 5-6 kids that couldn't get on. It times out after trying to connect to the world for a while. Maybe it's a wifi issue on my end?

Its possible it could be a bandwidth issue, but I wouldn't bet money on that being the cause. You can run a speed test on one of the devices while the other students are connected (fast.com is popular and reliable) and see what kind of upload and download speeds your are getting.

Are the devices that are having the issues the same make and model as the others? If not, what are they?

Check out this article we wrote on this particular subject as well: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/17983944794260-Troubleshooting-multiplayer-multiple-disconnections-inventory-lag

Also, make sure there are not any unnecessary programs running in the background as your student is using the app.
