Hosting worlds for school district
Hello! I wanted to get some input from others in the comunity. I work in a school district and have teachers that want to use Minecraft:EE for their classes. We started using the software and the teachers would host their worlds from their laptops. As you can imagine there were a lot of complaints about speed issues and bottlenecking from a single laptop hosting 25 kids at a time. My question is: How do other people handle this situation? I know creating a VM and having the staff member RDP into it would help, but I was wondering about any other alternatives.

Hi Patrick Foltyn,
I actually tested out a VM and RDP and found it pretty laggy from a performance perspective, and I provided it with a lot of resources as well. Too many extra potential bottlenecks.
My solution was to scrounge up a device with a lot of extra RAM, dedicated graphics card, and was wired directly into our network. Still had some occasional performance issues, but I would say the load on the wifi was the likely culprit.
