Hi Marianne, Minecraft Education works with Azure virtual Environment. You to Log in to your Azure account and go to the Virtual Machines dashboard.
Click the “Create a resource” button.
Select “Virtual machine” from the list of resources.
Select the operating system and version you want to use for your Minecraft server.
The students need their own id provided from the school so the students able to used the Minecraft Edu. Otherwise the students only can used with limited access.

    Hey there Marianne!

What specific issues are you having with the virtual machines? Are they multiplayer related?

We do not specifically test for VM's. It may be possible, but you would likely need a beefy device.

  • Hi Danny - thanks for your response.  I have tried to run Minecraft in a VDI environment and it needs a really beefed up virtual - cost prohibitive...

    Thanks again

  • Hi May:

Thank you for your response.  I am very familiar with how to deploy a VM in Azure.  What I am asking is if Minecraft can be installed on a windows 11 workstation and then have multiple users access it on one virtual.  It doesn't work - need to have one user per workstation.

    Thank you for your help

    Marianne
