No area to type code using python with azure notebooks

While completing the 'PYTHON 101 WITH NOTEBOOKS: LESSON 4
Animals are Friends' I can open the code section by pressing 'c', however, there is no area to type in code. I can see the activity i must complete and hints/tips on how to do so however no section to type in code. 

Does anyone else have this issue and how did you solve it if so?
