"Can't connect to service you need" error

When i turn on Minecraft Education, this message shows up and even if i repetitively click on the "Sign In" button, nothing happens.

Also, as you can see, i have an older version of MCEE.

I also went to see my IT Admin to fix this error, but he didn't want to.

So, i am wondering how i could fix this error without administrator privileges on Windows 10.

  Can you let us know what type of device this is? If it's a Windows device, you may have two copies installed. If so uninstall one copy and see if that helps.

  I've searched and i found only the original copy, and even if there was one i wouldn't be able to delete it because i don't have administrator privileges

  You will need to use a device that is not managed by the school then. Without admin credentials, and if the school admins are not helping, it is very hard to fix any potential issues. Most likely this is due to a content filter then and using a personal device may remove the issue all together.

  Well, all of my friends in my school have Minecraft Education working perfectly fine with no problems at all

  Hey there!

  We have seen this issue occur when the users do not have  "Read/Write permissions" for the application.
  Could this be possible?

  Are your friends from the same school as you?

  Does it work on a different network like your home network?

  Hey,

  I had a similar issue and it was due to the wrong Microsft account (My personal one rather than my work one) being used as it was the default for my computer. Check to see what account is being used to login and you have the permissions to do so.

  I don't know if i don't have "Read/Write permissions" for the application, my friends are in the same school as me and no, it doesn't work on any network, but i can still sign in onto my other devices such as my phone and personal laptop

  Oh the same account works fine on your phone and personal laptop just not the school device?

  What is the device's make/model for the one it does not work on?
