Build size limitations
I have been building our school with upper primary students for the past two years.
The ratio for the build is 4 blocks to every 1 metre. It is a massive build. It looks amazing so far.
We have been having a lot of logging-in issues for the students and problems accessing inventory once some students have logged in. This has been occurring since the beginning of term 2.
Is there a limitation to how big you are able to build on the Minecraft Education server?
Any thoughts?
regards,
David

Hey there,
Y=320 should be the upper build limit. Are you noticing something different?

Are you and students noticing the game running slowly or stuttering when you're in the world? I've run into that issue when students are using lots of items with particle effects (splash potions mainly) or there are a lot of mobs around, but suspect it'd happen whenever there's a lot for the computer to process in the world.
One possible solution is lowering some of the video settings. There are a few on/off settings like Fancy Graphics that would be worth testing. You could also try lowering the Render Distance in the same settings screen - I'm imagining being a school there may be some long straight hallways that let you see quite a ways off, so reducing the render distance would only have the computer processing a smaller area of the world.
If lowering the video settings does work, unfortunately you'll have to get every student to adjust the settings on their device since they're all local settings.
