Minecraft edu crashing. It says " Minecraftpe quit unexpectedly."

My minecraft edu won't open, and it says " Minecraftpe quit unexpectedly." I tried installing and uninstalling a lot of times, and it won't work. My device is a Macbook Pro, new version. It's very new, but minecraft edu crashes for some reason. PLEASE HELP ME. Thank You!
