Students unable to connect to world. Stuck at saving world screen when exiting.
I am unable to host a world from my PC to student Chromebooks. When they type in join code, they are able to see my world and confirm it, but they get stuck on the loading screen and can't join the world. When I try exiting and saving the world, the client gets stuck on the "saving world" screen and will go no further. I end up having to go to task manager to end the background process just to be able to launch the program again.
If I host a server without having students try to join, I am able to exit and save as normal without the screen getting stuck at the "saving world" screen.
Students are able to host and join their own worlds using their chromebooks, but are unable to join any of mine.
My school IT technician made sure my computer was discoverable and made sure there were no other issues via the server but was unable to find a solution so far.
I've restarted the device multiple times, tried LAN and WiFi connections, and have uninstalled and reinstalled M:EE twice. I don't know if this would be beneficial information or not, but when I tried getting into M:EE today (and after every reset), the program just asked for my email address to log in and did not ask for my password. When going to settings and trying to log out of the account, it would not log me out. I could click on "switch accounts" but to sign in again, I just needed to put in my email.

I figured out the solution. All devices needed to be on the same build (v1.19.52) for the students to join. Some students today were able to join but the world would break as soon as one student joined that hadn't updated. Those who were initially able to join faced issues such as their inventories not opening, world chunks not loading, and other students being unable to connect. The problem was traced to students who had not updated their minecraft program, causing everything to freeze. To resolve the issue, all devices were manually updated through the Google Play store, enabling all students to join the PC-hosted world. If even just one student is on v1.18.45, it will break for everyone.
