Can not open things

I am unable to open my own worlds or join any of my friends. It comes up with an error message saying i am unable to connect to the world. have already tried using connection id. please help i wanna play minecraft.

  This sounds like there is a block preventing you from doing multiplayer. Since you are unable to host your own worlds try using a different network and device as a test. If this is a school device, you may need to reach out to the schools IT department to see if they can get you access.
