I saved my world to my account on my home laptop. I then logged into a school laptop with my account to find my world not there.

  This is due to saving it on your home laptop. Worlds are saved on the device it was created on. To get it to your school account please refer to this article: Import, Export, and Manage Worlds – Minecraft: Education Edition Support.
