I can't open Minecraft

When I open Minecraft it opens then shows a black screen after a while it crashes. I tried it on 1.14 it worked but I want the most recent update in Minecraft education.

  Can you let me know what your device is? The main thing is you want to update your devices OS version to its newest one and then update the Minecraft Education client to 1.18.45.

  Minecraft is 1.18.45

  I don't know my os version I just know it's windows 10 and it doesn't say anything about a update.

  Try contacting your teacher or IT department for your school to look into this. It may be a network block or something that was deployed to the device.
