Hi, Melanie. I'm sorry for the problems that have cropped up! I am not an expert at this, but I have some thoughts.
If you go to the Apple (upper right) > About this Mac > Storage, do you have plenty of space left?
Also, are you using a cloud storage system in the drive you are installing to, like Google Drive, by any chance?

Hello Debbie,
I have 50GB left for storage.
It is not installing to google drive. It saves directly on my computer (this is not an option I can change because it is a work computer).
Thanks for the troubleshooting :)0 -
We have seen some resolution when the free space is at 101GB. Are you able to export files (not worlds or game files) to free up space to try and get to 101GB?

I have the same issue and have over 400gb free. It definitely seems related to M1 Macs.

Thank you for letting us know. M1 and M2 Macs are reporting this issue. We released a Beta today that may change the issue. I would get a test device and try the new Beta build. If you are willing, let us know if this changes the issue at all.

Hi all
I have been having some issues with my M1 Macbook for a while. I get the global reset error but also have freezing at the loading screen.
I managed to fix this problem by temporarily disabling my filters for my current virus protection/web filter.
System Settings - Network - Filters - Disable.
Load game and then this can be switched back on after to solve problem. Even with some virus protection when you allow Minecraft through the firewall etc it will still block some features from loading.
Hope this helps.

Hi Chien,
Are you using a personal or a school managed device? If the device is managed by your school, or if you are using a school VPN, I would suggest reaching out to your IT department as this can be caused by security settings.
