Error "P2P/SIG: no_sessions()"
Hello!
A few days ago I had this error when trying to start hosting.
Unable to connect to the world.
P2P/SIG: no_sessions (different set of numbers each time)
This error appears on PCs of my students too.
Reboot PC helps, but this error sometimes appears again.
There is version 1.18.42 everywhere. It didn't happen before the update.
Please advise, how can I get rid of it?

I've been seeing this regularly, IF there had already been a world open and then exited. Then trying to start another world.
At this point, I always restart minecraft after exiting a world before I start up a new world. And if any students have an issue, I have them restart minecraft too.
The above is of course only helpful IF you are able to connect to multiplayer worlds regularly. If you have NOT been able to connect to multiplayer worlds at all, then you need to follow all the steps to make sure the firewall rules and URL allow lists are all in place.0 -
Same problem. Minecraft education has showed P2P/Sig: No_session(5) since last Wedensday. (2/15)
When my students open a world, it showed P2P/Sig and can't log in and even worse they can't use multipleplayers.
Please solve this problem. Thank you.

Hello everyone!
I am getting the same error on my computer.
What was working fine until a few days ago suddenly became impossible to play multiplayer. It is a sudden incident with no signs.I have the same problem on my computer with both Bedrock Edition and Education Edition.
There is no problem with my internet connection, no problem with my LAN network. The same phenomenon occurs even after stopping virus software, etc.
In particular, the Education Edition is unable to log in to the world, even though the host is found.
The version of Education Edition is 1.18.32 and the version of Bedrock Edition is 1.19.63.I will try to update now, but I fear the same thing will probably happen.
I have seen information on social networking sites that this problem is happening all over the world.
I hope the problem is found and improved as soon as possible.Thank you so much to the Minecraft staff.

Can I please ask how I can fix this on an iPad? I'm not able to try some of the suggestions above, eg allow URL, because I'm not sure what that means! Thank you!

I am sorry to hear about this issue. Can you tell me if you are on the Beta? For the live version multiplayer should be up and running. If you are on the Beta, multiplayer is having issues that we are investigating. Let us know if you are still having issues on the live version. If you are there might be something on your network scanning/blocking network traffic. Make sure to check all extensions and filters that are in place.

Why is this still an issue and it hasn’t been addressed? We literally updated the app on our iMac and that’s it. Can’t host anymore. No changes to firmware of anything.

Hey Alex,
The issue should have been mitigated on the latest live version as of the end of last week.
Can you confirm you are not on the Beta, and please confirm what version of Minecraft Education you are now on?

Well this is awkward…I literally went to the website today and got the newest version from the website and had the issue still. Not on beta. So when’s the real fix gonna happen? This is honestly a huge issue. This thread has posts dating back weeks ago. We depend on this app for a lot and having bad reliability is not okay.

We're running Monterey on a Mac Mini and I found that updating to the latest version on Monterey and then adding all the URLs in this FAQ IT Admin Guide to our LGfL whitelist worked. For those based in London or using LGfL, I hope this helps as we were having so many issues with P2P/SIG no session(3).

Thanks so much for sharing your findings William!

Yeah im having the same problem with my computer too, except its on a Windows 10 Education laptop. Sooo does any of the support team know how to fix this issue?

I sometimes have that problem too. Sometimes in school, sometimes home. I close and open my tablet again and the error is gone. Then it starts again.

We know that this issue stems from a communication issue. The main thing is that if it's a school device, you will need to talk with your teacher/IT department to see if a proxy is installed and they will need to look at those settings. For Chromebooks, SSL decryption is needed, and proxies are not supported on those devices. Google requires end point certification when using SSL decryption. You can find out more about this at the link below: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6334001?hl=en&ref_topic=3504941#zippy=%2Chostname-allowlist-for-chrome-devices-using-chrome-extensions-and-apps-chrome-web-store%2Chostname-allowlist-for-chrome-devices-using-android-apps-google-play-store
You will also need to make sure that you have the URLs on the following link allowlisted by your network: URLs Used by Minecraft: Education

Afternoon all,
Having the same problem here having updated to 1.19.52
Playing using Dell laptops with Windows 10 installed - all connecting wirelessly to our devices network.
Tried clicking 'Play -> Host' and loading a saved world which did work previously, and hosting that.
Our School computers are locked to the networks they are able to join so we can't test whether the 'phone hotspot' trick works.
We have checked firewall and allowed everything through it that we believe it needs however this problem has only come about since we upgraded the clients to 1.19.52
Any help would be most appreciated!

This may be due to other client versions being connected while playing. We are deploying a hotfix to prevent this issue (will stop users from joining if on an older version.) If this issue is occurring before the world is even hosted, try creating a new world first to see if that changes anything. Next try toggling off one item at a time of your content filters, firewalls, and antivirus software. Once you are able to isolate which product it is let us know the name and I will see if we can work with the Devs to find a solution.

Getting the same
p2p/sig no_session(empty auth from discovery)
I tried running all the stuff through webfiltering and nothing is blocked. I switched to data and nothing changed. I will try creating a new world and making it work.
Other people in department of education are having same issue with chromebooks at the moment but I can't speak for everyone, only certain schools0 -
Hey there,
Thanks for your report about P2P issues, sorry you are experiencing them. This is a larger issue that the team is investigating. Please check here for updates:
