Error "P2P/SIG: no_sessions()"
Hello!
A few days ago I had this error when trying to start hosting.
Unable to connect to the world.
P2P/SIG: no_sessions (different set of numbers each time)
This error appears on PCs of my students too.
Reboot PC helps, but this error sometimes appears again.
There is version 1.18.42 everywhere. It didn't happen before the update.
Please advise, how can I get rid of it?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have the same issue. The VM that I have MC EDU intstalled on has an IP that pokes straight through the firewall/content filter. So, that shouldn't be an issue. Has there been any resolution to this yet?
Thanks!

We seem to be getting this error intermittently now, more error than success. The strange part is I can have success in hosting a world, play around for a while, then I log out and log right back in and will get the error. The next several attempts, even after a restart of the computer, will continue getting the error. Later that day I tried it again and it was working until the next time I logged off.

Can you let us know if hosting locally instead of the VM changes the issue at all? Please go through the following:
- Make sure that //*.minecraft-services.net/ has been allow listed through firewall and content filters
- The signaling connections use wss://signal.franchise.minecraft-services.net
- The STUN and TURN connections use turn.azure.com / world.relay.skype.com on the 20.202.0.0 / 16 IP range using remote TCP port 443 and remote UDP ports 3478-3481
- The peer-to-peer connections between host and joining client use local ephemeral UDP ports specified by the host client (the local port range is defined by the OS) and sent to the joining client via the signaling service
- Our system now uses ephemeral ports. They will need to be unblocked.
- Can you tell me if this is device specific or is this happening to everyone and how often?
- Try toggling
celluar data
setting to on with tablets, Chromebooks, android phones and iOS phones.- It's a setting under Profile on all devices.

I've hosted a lot in the past, but yesterday was the first time I got the error "P2P/SIG: no_session(-2147020579)".
- Windows 10 Pro
- Minecraft Education ver 1.18.45
Restarting Minecraft didn't help, but I was able to host it on another PC on the same network.
When I tried again the next morning, I was able to host even the PC that had the error the day before. I haven't rebooted the PC or done anything.
I'm lucky to be able to host, and I hope things get resolved soon.

What we found in a school environment was the old list of sites we had white listed, the main one was now different. When we updated our local firewall it still didnt fix it, what we had to do was go to our Cira firewall and unblock it there. after that we were good to go.

Sometimes it happens when I try to host a world too. And I use the last version. (Version 1.18.45) And I can't fix it.

ANIL there most likely is a filter or firewall in place that is interfering with the connection. I would work with your teacher and give them the information listed here to see if they can investigate where the block may be.

I am running into the same issue. I either get the: P2P/SIG: no_sessions message or just a "unable to connect". Also every once in a while it will let a student connect and then boot them in about two minutes and give them a "lost connection" error. This is happening for us mostly on the ipads.
On another note when I join a world on a Chromebook for some reason I am unable to interact with NPC's. The option just isn't there and both mouse buttons are trying to break instead of put. Not sure what's up with that.

There is no firewall or something. It just says "Unable to connect world. P2P/SIG:no_session(20)". What can I do? Today, I wanted to play with my sister at home, but the same error occurred.

This time in my sister it said P2P/SIG:no_session(9)

Hey there!
Are you able to test on a different Wifi network to see if it works there?
0 -
No, I can't. All my networks are connected. And I send a world to my sister, she tried to do it, and it said "P2P/SIG:no_session(9)". And why it says no session I don't know.

Having the same issue when trying to connect Xbox series S to PC. It was working fine up until 2 days again. No hardware or network change.

Hey there Anil,
Maybe see if you can try a public network at a restaurant or perhaps a friends wifi?
Hi Michel!
Minecraft Education is not available for the Xbox so we would be unable to offer support in that area, apologies.

I’m having the same problem but on my xbox and I have no idea how to fix it. I was just playing when it kicked me out 5 times in her world and then popped up with the p2p thing. I’m on regular Minecraft and not education edition but I need help.

Hi there Lucia. Minecraft Education is not available for Xbox so I would contact the Bedrock team to see if there are ways to improve communication. There might be settings we do not know about or something you can do on the Xbox to help.

Hi 클럽 로봇,
This error is from something occurring that is interrupting or blocking communication to our servers. The main thing is to toggle off any network filtering software to see if that helps. The other thing is to work through the items below and see if that helps.
- Try toggling

setting to on with tablets, Chromebooks, android phones and iOS phones.- It's a setting under Profile on all devices.

Thank you for providing that and clarifying your network situation. With you M1 Mac, do you have Sophos installed? We had a user with this issue and their solution was to change some Sophos settings.
If you have Admin access or know the sys admins, you will need to:
- From Sophos Central navigate to Endpoint Protection > Policies.
- Create or clone an existing Threat Protection policy then assign it to your affected machine(s).
- Disable the following settings and save the policy.
- IPS
- Threat Graph

P2P/SIG: no_session, alguém poderia me ajudar0 -
This happens for me a lot too, even while hosting. In a world, staring it up. joining. No matter what, if i press a host button, it has this message.

I just ran into the same problem. I make sure all the URLs and ports were allow in our firewall. We were still having problems. I had to disable ipv6 in the host computer and asked my students to restart their computer. After restarting computers they were able to login with no problem.

Thank you for sending that, Jose! As for others something else to try is to uninstall any antivirus program or network filtering extensions. We have had some users report that disabling Sophos did not help but once they uninstalled it completely it let them through.

Howdy. I'm having the exact same issue with my friend. We've tried to play yesterday and it would say "P2P/Sig: No_session(5)" or (20) and also (invalid client) we're playing over home wifi and it was normal 2-3 days ago???

Hey all,
What devices and OS versions are you all on?
Do you get the same result if launching the world with the "Play" button and then "Host"?

Hey
Me and my friends are all experiencing the same issue and we are on a variety of different devices mainly laptops but a few iPads as well, all latest update for Minecraft Edu and iOS as well. Any solutions or possibilities for finding any please update me.Edit: We have tried everything including “Play” then “Host” too.
